tão perto do Porto, e um verdadeiro oásis - falo da Quinta da Aveleda, uma quinta que remonta a 1870, está nas mãos da mesma família há 5 gerações(a família Guedes), e é uma das maiores quintas produtoras de vinho verde do país.
a Quinta da Aveleda está aberta ao público para visitas de enoturismo, sob marcação claro, sendo um dos passeios que recomendo vivamente fazer: para além de se provar vinhos de excelência, respira-se natureza, respira-se verde e é como que um "voltar à essência", onde os aromas, o ar puro e a beleza dos locais visitados nos fazem sentir mesmo bem.

so close to Porto, and a real oasis - I am talking about Quinta da Aveleda, a Quinta which exists since 1870 and is in the same family for 5 generations (Guedes family), and it is one of the biggest 'vinho verde' producer in Portugal.
Quinta da Aveleda is open to public for enotourism visits, under reservation of course, being a trip I recommend: besides the tasting of excellence wines, we can breath the nature, the green, and it is like coming back to our "essence", where the smells, the pure air and the beauty of all the places we visit make us feel really good.

durante o almoço, em ambiente maravilhoso como se pode ver, fiquei a saber que a Quinta da Aveleda também é produtora de queijos, e que o grande desafio é sempre tentar quebrar o mito de que os queijos devem ser acompanhados de vinho tinto :)
pois a mim souberam-me muito bem com os vinhos que bebi, e que, ao almoço, foram:
1 - Quinta da Aveleda, um vinho 100% produzido com as uvas da quinta.
2 - Aveleda Alvarinho
3 - Aveleda Douro

during lunch, taking place at this beautiful environment, I was aware that Quinta da Aveleda also produces cheese, and that their tough challenge is to break the myth that chess should be eaten with red wine :)
well I tasted them with the white wines, and it was perfect for me! here the wines I tasted at lunchtime:
1 - Quinta da Aveleda, 100% produced in house.
2 - Aveleda Alvarinho
3 - Aveleda Douro

não se pode terminar a visita à Quinta da Aveleda sem uma ida à adega, à adega velha, onde é produzida e guardada a famosa Adega Velha, uma bebida tipicamente para ser consumida no final das refeições e que liga especialmente bem com doces, ou com um chocolate:)
