The Kitchen - good food & good views

um almoço de bloggers levou-me a conhecer o The Kitchen - um local que faz parte do meu percurso de jogging matinal, com umas vistas fantásticas para o mar e que pertence ao grupo K (detentor de alguns bares em Lisboa e agora também no Porto).

o evento aconteceu num dia de sol lindo, mas em início de fevereiro gélido, pelo que não deu para desfrutar da esplanada, ali à nossa espera agora nos dias mais amenos...!

entre muitas fotografias, conversas animadas e em excelente ambiente, degustou-se um requintado e delicioso menu, que me fez ficar com muita vontade de voltar....

a bloggers lunch took me to The Kitchen - a place located on my daily passage for the morning run, and with excellent views to the sea.

it happened in a sunny day but cold february, so we could not have lunch outside, but among a lot of photographies, nice conversations and in an excellent environment, I had the opportunity to taste a delicious menu, leaving me with the will to return soon....

é já nos próximos dias 24 e 25 de Fevereiro que acontecerá a 5.ª edição do simplesmente...Vinho 2017 - o único salão off de vinhos, petiscos, arte e música do Porto.

este ano, o evento vai ter lugar no Cais Novo (por cima do Museu do Vinho do Porto), e contará com cerca de 84 vignerons, entre portugueses e espanhóis.

para além dos vinhos, simplesmente....fantásticos, o evento contará com:

5th edition of simplesmente...Vinho 2017 is just arriving, it will take place on the 24th and 25th February - the only existing off event of wines, small dishes, art and music.

this year, event will take place at Cais Novo (above Port Wine Museum), will host 84 vignerons, portuguese and spanish.

as suas músicas já são intemporais, e o alinhamento do espetáculo não deixou nenhuma de fora - desde Dunas, Bellevue, Sangue Oculto, ..., e terminando com +Vale Nunca.
eu não faltei - e desta vez estive bem lá à frente, a fotografar :)

they are from Porto, and Porto welcome them the best way, as it would be expected.

35 five years career of GNR - band belonging to the iconic three Rui Reininho, Jorge Romão e Tóli César Machado  were celebrated at its best, in a concert with honoured guests, the place (Coliseu) was full and all the fans always singing along.

their songs are very well known, and the line up didn't leave none without playing, from Dunas, Bellevue, Sangue Oculto,..., ending with + Vale Nunca.
I did not miss the concert, and this time I was right there on the front, taking pictures:) 

Happy Birthday to GNR - cheers to another 35 years! :)

não. não vou falar dos típicos programas turísticos nem das visitas guiadas para os muitos turistas  que cada vez mais tomam conta da nossa cidade.

vou antes dar a conhecer as interessantes "visitas temáticas com história" criadas pelo Museu da Misericórdia do Porto (MMIPO) - visitas de autor pelas ruas do centro do Porto e conduzidas por personalidades que bem conhecem a cidade e a sua história, aportando-nos uma maneira diferente de a olhar. 

visitas que até podem ser para turistas, e serão com certeza muito bem vindos, mas que terão de entender português....

eu diria antes que são visitas para todos os apaixonados pelo Porto, apaixonados por história, e pelo Porto genuíno :)

no. I will not talk about the typical touristic programmes and not about guided tours for the lot of tourists that arrive to our city more and mote.

I will let you know the interesting programme that the Museum of "Misericórdia do Porto" (MMIPO) created - "visits with history" - visits around downtown streets of Porto, conducted by personalities who well know the city, and who make us look at it with different eyes.

it can of course be for tourists, and they will be very welcome of course, but they will have to understand portuguese, as there is no translation... 

I would say, these visits are for those people who love Porto and love history, and who love the genuine Porto.

the best 100 portuguese olive oil @Oliva & Co

a apresentação do livro de Edgardo Pacheco - os 100 Melhores Azeites de Portugal - já aconteceu no final do ano passado, mas para se provarem ou comprarem os melhores azeites (bem como o fantástico livro, claro!) vamos ainda muito a tempo!

a apresentação teve lugar no Oliva & Co - uma loja no Porto especializada em azeite, onde pode fazer degustações e aprender tudo sobre azeite - e contou a com a presença do Chef Rui Paula que apresentou um prato elaborado em torno do azeite, bem como com uma masterclass de azeite, seguida de prova, por Francisco Pavão.

e no final ninguém saiu com dúvidas - os melhores azeites do mundo estão mesmo em Portugal!

the presentation of the book by Edgardo Pacheco - the 100 best olive oil from Portugal - took place already by the end of last year, but we are always on time to taste or buy the best olive oils (as well as to buy the fantastic book, of course!)

presentation took place at Oliva & Co - a shop in Porto specialised in olive oil, where you can go for tastings and learn everything about olive oil - and had the presence of Chef Rui Paula who offered a dish made with olive oil, and a masterclass on olive oil followed by a tasting, by Francisco Pavão.

at the end there was no doubt, the best olive oil in the world are in Portugal!

Poças Portwine & IVDP (Instituto dos Vinhos do Douro e Porto) - an art exhibition

uma exposição de arte em torno do mundo do vinho do porto que vale a pena ver pela forma como surpreende e inova.

Luís Mendonça, ilustrador e designer, foi desafiado pela centenária empresa de vinhos Poças Júnior a criar uma coleção que ilustrasse o universo do vinho do Porto de forma diferente. e assim aconteceu.

a exposição pode ser visitada no Instituto dos Vinhos do Douro e Porto até ao dia 17 de Fevereiro.

an art exhibition  around port wine world that you should visit, because of its innovation and surprise.

Luís Mendonça, illustrator and designer, was invited by the centenary wine company Poças Júnior to create a collection illustrating Port wine universe in a different way. and that is what happened and you should go an see it!

the exhibition can be seen at Port Wine and Douro Institute until de 17th February.

nada como ser turista no nosso próprio país ou cidade, e foi o que fiz no início do ano quando me desloquei a Lisboa por uns dias.

e o Solar do Castelo - um pequeno boutique Hotel situado dentro das muralhas do Castelo de S. Jorge -  recebeu-me com toda a excelência e dedicação.

why you should visit the school of fine arts (Universidade de Belas Artes do Porto)

é provável que nunca tenha entrado na Faculdade de Belas Artes do Porto, mas eu vou dar-lhe algumas boas razões para o fazer. 

é que muito para além de ser um edifício bonito e um antigo palacete do século XIX, que serve agora de casa dos estudantes das belas artes, tem uns jardins magníficos, repletos de obras de arte, edifícios exteriores com várias exposições, e um museu de visita obrigatória.

eu fui até lá para ver a exposição Liberdade Imprescindível, levada a cabo pelos actuais alunos de Doutoramento.

it is possible you never entered the School of Fine Arts, but I will give you some good reasons why you should do it.

besides being a beautiful building and an ancient palace from 19th century, hosting now the fine arts students, it has magnificient gardens, with art pieces, external buildings with exhibitions, and a museum, that you definitely should visit.

I went there to see the exhibition - indispensable freedom - by the students of the actual PhD.

the importance of digital marketing on the bloggers world

parece sempre muito fácil e simples, mas desenganem-se: ser blogger não é só boa vida, dá mesmo muito trabalho.

e falando por mim, que faço tudo sozinha (vou aos eventos, vou aos locais, fotografo, entrevisto, escolho e edito as imagens, escrevo os textos......)  - cada ano que passa o trabalho é maior.

and speaking for myself - I go to the events, I go to the places, I take the pictures, I edit the pictures, I write the texts....- each year it takes more work.
